Your gifts are your business
The short version
Presently has no ads, no tracking, and no analytics. Your gift list stays on your phone. We only store what's needed to make family wish lists and AI gift ideas work, and you can delete it at any time.
What stays on your phone
The people you add, their budgets and profiles, and your gifts and their statuses are saved only on your device. We never receive them unless you use a feature described below.
What we store on our server
A random app ID
When you first use an online feature, Presently creates a random ID for your copy of the app. It isn't linked to your name, email, or Apple ID. We use it to count AI idea searches and to know which family you belong to.
Family wish lists
If you start or join a family, we store the family name, the display name you choose, the wishes you add (title, optional note and price), and which gifts you claim. Other members of your family can see your display name and wishes. The person who made a wish is never shown who claimed it.
AI gift ideas
When you ask for ideas, the details you enter about that person (such as their name, age, interests, and notes) are sent to our server and to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI model, to generate suggestions. We don't store these details on our server. Anthropic processes them under its commercial terms and does not use them to train its models. Please don't include sensitive information you wouldn't want shared.
Purchases
Presently Pro is purchased through Apple. We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases, which receives your random app ID and purchase information from Apple. We never see your payment details.
Service providers
Presently runs on Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database), with Anthropic for AI ideas and RevenueCat for purchases. They process data only to provide these services.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Settings → Delete my data. This removes your people and gifts from your phone and, if you're in a family, removes you, your wishes, and your claims from our server. You can also leave a family from the Family tab. To ask us to delete anything else, email presently@goldensunsetstudios.com.
Children
Presently isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above.
